The Port Aransas Rod and Reel Club has a long history of funding research and conservation organizations that are directly related to the gulf, estuaries, and marine life surrounding Port Aransas, Texas.
In 2010, PARR made a seven year $50,000 pledge to UTMSI to fund an endowment for continued graduate student research. In 2023, PARR made a $5,000 contribution to UTMSI split between an additional $2,500 contribution to its $60,000 endowment and a $2,500 contribution to the UTMSI Graduate Student Scholarship Fund. In addition to the UTMSI contribution, PARR made the following donations in 2023. Port Aransas Conservancy - $1,000 Hilton's Texas FAD Network - $1,000 International Game Fish Association - $1,000 Billfish Foundation - $250 International Light Tackle Anglers Association - $250 |
